Who I am

My story starts right here in Las Vegas, where I was born and raised. I grew up in the Clark County School District, attending Ries Elementary, Tarkanian Middle School, and graduating from Desert Oasis High School in the middle of the pandemic in 2020. Experiencing CCSD firsthand showed me just how much our education system needs improvement. Overcrowded classrooms, underpaid teachers, limited resources, and rising violence have all made it clear that meaningful change is needed to give every Nevada child the education they deserve.

After high school, I attended Nevada State University, where I recently earned my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in Pre-Law. My time at Nevada State was transformative, it was there that I discovered my passion for advocacy and my drive to be a voice for others. I became active in student government, serving as a Senator and speaking out on issues facing students across our state. Whether it was helping lead the name change from Nevada State College to Nevada State University, fighting for higher wages for student workers, doing whatever I could for the nursing students, defending free speech on campus, or holding leaders accountable, I never backed down from standing up for what was right.

These experiences shaped me into more than just a student advocate, they taught me the importance of listening, standing firm, and working for others. But at my core, I am no different from the people I seek to represent. I’ve always been a worker first. Like so many in our community, I know what it feels like to walk into a job filled with dread, not because of the work itself, but because of unfair treatment, low pay, or being undervalued.

I’ve seen this struggle up close. Both of my parents worked long hours, often coming home with stories of being treated poorly, asked to keep working “off the clock,” or having their voices ignored. Friends of mine have faced favoritism in the workplace, unsupportive managers, and impossible expectations from executives who earn thousands of times more than the people doing the actual work. These experiences shaped my passion for workers’ rights, not from books or lectures, but from living it myself and hearing it from the people around me.

That’s why I am running for office. Because no worker should have to feel powerless in their own workplace. Because our schools should give every child the tools to succeed. And because every day Nevadans deserve a representative who understands their struggles and will fight for real solutions. I’m not running to be above anyone, I’m running to stand alongside you and to fight for the change we all know is long overdue.
