Nevada needs bold and drastic economic changes where working-class people are being placed FIRST within our economy. Nevadans deserve the peace of mind knowing that their jobs are secure and that they will be able to find a job with ease in their future. Right now, it is far too easy for large corporations to fire their workers no good reason at all, or because their company wants to replace its workers with automation and AI, or simply because their company wants to save a couple bucks. In the 2025 year alone, over 1.1 million jobs have been lost, many of which happening right here in Las Vegas. This is not progress when working-class people are being replaced intentionally. Normally, in nearly every other country in the world, there are safeguards and laws in place to protect workers from being terminated or being laid off from their jobs so easily, however unfortunately that is not the same case here in Nevada. That is something that must change. One of the very first policies I will introduce is making sure that workers cannot be fired unless they have violated a specific company policy. Another policy that I would champion through the state legislature would hold corporations accountable. This specific policy would penalize any company that offshores more than 10% of its workforce to either a different US State or overseas. Another policy I would plan is having the Nevada Department of Business & Industry give priority to union-based shops or businesses that hire local Nevadans when it comes to their eligibility to receive grants and subsidies. Lastly, I would like to see mandated Project Labor Agreements (PLA's) on all state funded projects in the state, meaning Nevadans build Nevada. Mandating PLAs ensures that every worker that works within building trades receives union pay and benefits and it specifically give these jobs to Nevadans as a result.

Healthcare should be a right, not a privilege. Nevada’s current system puts too much power in the hands of private institutions while nurses and patients struggle. I will push for greater public healthcare options, more funding for hospitals and clinics, and programs that make it easier for nurses and healthcare professionals to stay in our state. I will also fight to expand access to affordable higher education for healthcare workers, ensuring we train and retain the talent we need to provide quality care to every Nevadan. During at my time at Nevada State, I advocated every single moment of my time for the students in the nursing program. I was able to stand up to university leadership and demand that the institution looked into ways to pay our nursing students that are practicing clinicals, where they would work 12-hour shifts all for no pay. I worked with the Nursing leaders across the state to see how we can provide free scrubs to every single nursing student within the state. Within my involvement and advocacy, I was able to pass a bill at Nevada System of Higher Education that provided free scrubs to every single Speech Language Pathology (SLP) graduate student at the institution in an effort to make higher education as well as the healthcare workforce more accessible and reduce that financial burden on them. I also advocated to ensure that nurses had better representation within our government by demanding more nurses to serve on the Governor's Select Committee on Healthcare Access. I will make sure this level of advocacy will be seen every single moment at the state legislature when I am elected. Some specific policies I would like to see here in Nevada is having the state seize patents for any lifesaving drug that was developed with state funding if the company charges absurd prices to access it, this will ensure that no lifesaving drug becomes unaffordable. Another policy that would lower the cost of prescription drugs in the state is by allowing the state of Nevada to purchase prescription drugs from Canada and importing them back into the state. Canada's healthcare is much more affordable than it is here, and so purchasing their prescription drugs for cheap and bringing it back for the residents of Nevada would ease the rise that we have all seen with drugs costs over the years. This is something other US states have already tried and have shown success in, and I believe Nevada can replicate that same success.

Education is a right, and every Nevadan child deserves the chance to learn in a classroom where they are more than just a number. I will fight to reduce classroom sizes so students get the attention they deserve, provide better resources to both staff and students, and raise teacher wages so we can attract and retain the best educators in our state. Beyond K-12, I will work to make higher education more accessible and affordable, ensuring that every Nevadan has the opportunity to pursue a degree or career training without being crushed by debt. Our current education here in CCSD is not good and hasn't been for a long time. I know this because I went through the CCSD pipeline, only then go through higher education in Nevada where it is a very similar story. Funding on both levels have consistently been gutted and intentionally ignored since this is a problem many legislatures do not want to deal with. That is different with me, not many legislatures can tell you that they've experienced the failures of CCSD and NSHE, but I can and I will do whatever it takes to fix these issues, especially since I work in higher education now. We need to give more funding to both CCSD and NSHE instead of having the teachers and students make up for what our legislature refuses to do.

Housing.png

Housing is a human right, and too many Nevadans are being priced out of their own communities. I support implementing a rent cap to stop runaway rent hikes, breaking up corporations that hoard homes, and building more publicly funded, affordable housing. The only thing stopping Nevada from having affordable and public housing is due to a ruling named "Dillions Rule", removing this barrier would create the ability to build thousands of houses for the people that actually live here. Another huge obstacle stopping Nevadans from having the ability to buy their own home is that large corporations are the only ones buying vast amounts of single-family homes. I would support any legislation that completely and fully bans any corporation from purchasing single family homes. I also believe in tying the cost of rent to the rate of inflation as well, so that these corporations cannot be allowed to go behind your back and raise your rent simply because them and their corporate friends want to get richer. Nevada families should not have to choose between paying rent and putting food on the table, I will fight to ensure housing is affordable and accessible for everyone.

immigrants.png

Immigrants are the backbone of Nevada’s economy and culture, and they deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and basic human rights. I will support programs that provide resources and opportunities for immigrant families, expand state-level protections, and ensure that no family in Nevada lives in fear of being torn apart. I will also fight to get I.C.E out of our communities here in Nevada.

While immigration policy is primarily a federal issue, Nevada can act where it has power, by protecting workers and holding corporations accountable. For too long, multinational corporations have benefited from a broken immigration system that allows them to exploit undocumented workers, deny them labor protections, and pay substandard wages with no consequences.

Undocumented workers are not the problem, corporate exploitation is. I will push for legislation that increases penalties on corporations that knowingly exploit undocumented workers, use immigration status as leverage, or violate labor laws for profit. No worker, regardless of status, should be subjected to abuse or wage theft, and no corporation should profit from fear and vulnerability.
